This is a 3D portrait of the Drow Priestess, Xull'rae Zauviir. You can find out more by visiting the source of this character... *XullraeZauviir This is my first attempt at using the Daz Victoria 4 figure, and my first attempt at a Drow. With the skin shaders in Poser, it was a challenge getting the skin to maintain the hue that you see. My opinion of V4 from this work: The V4 morphs are grouped differently than V3, so I'm not sure if there are more or less than V3. The skin textures are broken into different files as well. My only "gripe" in working on this figure is that the back of the neck and the tip of the ears ended up getting "cut off" from the texture file. I dont know if thats a problem with the Faelwen skin, or a problem with V4 in general. Overall, I will definitely use V4 again and learn some more about this figure. ***EDIT: Lighter version posted. If Xullrae's skin looks like a dark shade of grey or nearly black, then the problem could be your screen. It took some time to track down the color issues with her skin and its a red/blue hue outside of small gamut displays. Please let me know your monitor make and model. I'd like to know if this is a widespread issue that could effect Drow artists worldwide ;} *** The bits... The hair and eyes...
The jewelry is so pretty, love the small nose piercing, very sexy and not overdone.
I always wanted to see what she'd look like in gold and I must say, it's gorgeous on her, it shimmers and I like it.
Her lips so glossy with a look so dangerous.
A nice piece of work, I am pleased.

Her piercings were intentional, to give her a bit of that sexy alt appearance, but I didn't want to go overboard. I also didn't want to go crazy with the "spiders", although there are some awesome spider things that I have seen done - so I kept the whole spider thing down to a minimal brooch... which is kind of humorous, as if she's on some kind of diplomatic mission here, and not amongst her spidery worshippers. Which makes the pose interesting too. I leave it up to the viewer to decide the circumstances around this pose - which is something I try to do in most of my portraits.
And I am surprised nobody has done Xull'rae in golden toned clothing before. Yellow/orange/gold is a major complimentary color to purple. But I had to make all her jewelry silver so that it wouldn't compete.
Aye, enjoy the gift and post it to your journal and you can submit it to any of the Drow or Xull- clubs you want, or give me the directions on how to do that.
I arched her brow and squinted her right eye and gave her a bit of a sneer in order to communicate a bit of spirit in her to contrast this reclined pose. But I leave it up to the viewer to conjure a story around the picture.
